Syndication and channels
When you sign in (and when you press Reload on Settings) Quill asks your endpoint GET /micropub?q=config and reads:
{
"media-endpoint": "https://example.com/media",
"syndicate-to": [{"uid": "https://fed.example/@me", "name": "Fediverse", "service": {"name": "…", "url": "…", "photo": "https://…/icon.png"}}],
"channels": [{"uid": "notes", "name": "Notes"}],
"post-types": [{"type": "note", "name": "Note"}, {"type": "article", "name": "Article"}],
"visibility": ["public", "unlisted", "private"]
}
- syndicate-to becomes the toggle buttons on the posting pages; the chosen
uids are sent asmp-syndicate-to. Quill does not talk to those services itself. - channels becomes the Channel menu; the chosen
uidis sent asmp-channel. Plain strings are accepted too. - post-types decides which interfaces appear in the sidebar. A site that lists none gets all of them.
- visibility becomes the Visibility menu, sent as
visibilitywhen it is not public.
